John de Waal


Barrister and CEDR registered mediator.

John is a barrister at St Philips Chambers in Birmingham who specialises in property litigation and advisory work. Before becoming a barrister in 1992 John spent seven years as a teacher and lecturer in further education. He was accredited with CEDR in 2001 and is now a registered mediator. He is also a member of the Association of Midlands Mediators and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

John has been involved in mediations facilitated by CEDR and the Association of Midlands Mediators. He has also been appointed as mediator in the pilot Birmingham Civil Justice scheme.
