Alan qualified as a Solicitor in 1970 and currently is the Head of Property Litigation at Rochman Landau. Alan also is the Partner responsible for any complaints at Rochman Landau, a role that he has played in a previous firm. As a solicitor Alan has had experience of virtually every kind of property dispute and has featured in a significant number of leading cases over the years. He has been a member of the Property Litigation Association almost from its inception, has served on the main committee and now sits on the Law Reform Committee.
Alan was accredited as a Mediator through CEDR in 2000 and since then has been appointed Mediator often on personal recommendation by solicitors or counsel in property related disputes. The responses to the feedback forms have always been very positive, even on the relatively rare occasion where a mediation has not resulted in a successful outcome. One quote from a solicitor following a recent successful mediation : "We have attended many mediations over the past three years, but we thought this one might be impossible to resolve. However thanks to your seemingly infinite patience a solution was achieved."
