Gary Webber, mediator

Gary was a practising barrister for 22 years specialising in property law. Since 2003 he has practised as a mediator specialising in property mediation. For many years he ran training courses in various areas of property law. He is the author of Business Premises: Possession and Lease Renewal, 5ed (Sweet & Maxwell) and co-author of Residential Possession Proceedings, 10ed (Sweet & Maxwell).

Gary maintains and is the general editor of this property law website and is on the editorial board of the White Book. He is an associate member of Tanfield Chambers and sits as a Deputy District Judge.

David Keighley

David Keighley was admitted as a solicitor in 1982. Until his retirement from full time practice David was a partner in and Head of Residential property at Herrington Carmichael a Legal 500 Practice. Having done so part time whilst in practice, he now uses his extensive experience to offer practical guidance in lectures at property law conferences, seminars, webinars, training courses and related events.

He is a contributing author for the Law Society Conveyancing Handbook, was the co-author of an online training course for the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), and has written for publications including the Law Society’s Property in Practice Magazine and the Solicitors Journal.

Peta is a non-practising solicitor with more than 25 years' experience of all areas of commercial property law. She now writes and lectures full time on a wide variety of property-related topics both at conferences and in house. Peta is a member of the Editorial Board of Landlord and Tenant Review, on the Consultation Board of Practical Law Company (Property) and the co-author of Tenants' Pre-emption Rights: A landlord's guide to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 (Jordans). Emma Humphreys, solicitor

Emma is a partner in the property litigation team at Charles Russell Speechleys. Sarah is a former partner and head of the London property litigation practice of the firm then known as Denton Hall with over 15 years experience in commercial property disputes. She now works as a freelance legal speaker and writer. Sarah is a co-author of Tenants' Pre-emption Rights: A Landlord's Guide to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987, and has written extensively for a number of legal and property journals. Jonathan Upton, barrister

Jonathan is a barrister at Tanfield Chambers. He has been recognised as a leading junior for property litigation in the legal directories for several years. Jonathan is particularly experienced on matters relating to mixed-use developments.
